Journal & Chat: Internet Boundaries & Summer Reads
Some takeaways from August's Taylor Swift discourse, musings on my top reads of the summer, + a glimpse at my fall reading life
It’s mid-September, which means I am yearning for steaming apple-flavored drinks, dark academia and mystery reads, and, dare I even say, sweaters??
Shocking, I know, but I do find myself looking longingly at all things cozy. And that’s where today’s journaling video comes in! Rather than doing anything so formal as a guide or a how to, in this video I set up my calendar for September, while:
Sharing some musings on making better boundaries with the internet (brought to you by the Taylor Swift discourse from August)
Talking a little bit about highlights of my summer reading
Giving you a quick rundown of how my fall reading is looking so far
I’m continuing to experiment with different styles of content as I feel myself out with this whole substack / content creation / etc. thing. I love being able to play around with different formats! And I grabbed my courage by the horns to get a teeny tiny bit more vulnerable in this video, which is absolutely a first for me.
If anything in this video resonates, I hope you will comment (gently, please!), and let me know your thoughts (like, super SUPER gently, I’m just a girl). And let me know if you’d like to see more videos like this one (…or not)! If you’re sticking around through all of this joyful, messy creativity, I’m so grateful.
If you’re a free subscriber, you’ll still get my regular bookish newsletter soon-ish. But if you’re looking for reading journal ideas and/or cozy creative content, I hope you’ll consider upgrading to paid. Paid subscribers will get access to this video and other journaling / annotating videos in the future.
As always, however you choose to engage — I’m glad you’re here. And I hope your current/future read is as amazing as you!
